I am a straight up scientist. And part of that I feel, was sort of built into me genetically, just because my mother is a scientist.
She actually did a PhD. in chemistry, as I did. And growing up, I always looked up to her. Being an MSL is very rewarding for the simple fact that you can almost directly help patients by helping the physicians that are treating those patients.
It's important to have an MSL for, the organization because that's my go to person. It's really, what's out there in terms of other opportunities to grow the knowledge and the disease site. I love it. Okay. Let's do it again.
In all seriousness. Yes, I love the role. It gives me a perspective that you can't get in a lot of other roles. That perspective of speaking with a physician and hearing about a patient that they just saw, a few minutes earlier in their clinic that was diagnosed with this and going through these struggles. It gives me perspective of the patients. And that perspective is what is motivating me and driving me in this job to do the best that I can.
I think it's important to realize that what you see on paper or what you think someone's job is, is likely not the reality. And I think that all of us here, play an important role in the bigger picture and make a huge contribution to moving things forward, to do right by our patients.
When we're talking about how we're implementing a new therapy that's coming through and how I'm going to educate the masses. I mean, that's my responsibility at a regional cancer center and I'm able to get ready access to the latest and greatest. My MSLs really help me help keep my whole region at the cutting edge of what's going on in cancer care
